Waiting For Alice

I am beginning to get very excited about this...

Wonderland started its run at the Alley Theatre in Houston on January15 and will be here until February 14. (Go here to see more info.)

According to the website:

'Wonderland' is set in present-day Manhattan and a timeless Wonderland. The new musical tells the story of author Alice Cornwinkle (a descendant of Lewis Carroll's muse Alice Liddell), who is struggling with her career and her daughter, Chloe.

You remember Wonderland...the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter, the Queen of Hearts and the rest? Now, they are most definitely and exactually back! In this world premiere of a new musical by acclaimed composer Frank Wildhorn and lyricist Jack Murphy and book writers Jack Murphy and Gregory Boyd, journey with modern-day Alice to Wonderland and the Looking-Glass World where she must find her daughter, defeat the Queen and learn to follow her heart.

Doesn't that just sound like a lot of fun? Alice, Wonderland, Manhattan, learning to follow your heart.

Alison and I have GREAT seats and will be taking it all in tomorrow night at 8:00! I am getting excited!!! (Oh, I already said that, huh?)

And for my spell check friends, the write up actually says 'exactually'! Really! Go check it out for yourself.

I so amuse myself (and thankfully, it doesn't take much), while reading over the post I realized that I am going to see Alice with Alison...get it Alice-son! And we are eating at Kim Son before the show. I crack me up!

I'm glad you can entertain yourself. But you do know what they do with people that entertain themselves dont' you? Jail or sanitarium. ha ha. I do wished we lived somewhere that had wonderful plays that didn't cost $100 a ticket. But now Brittany has a full time job and can buy her own ticket. ha ha.

Have a wonderful time tonight.
