A Land Without Time

That is my nickname for the beach house where we spent the past week.

Seriously, I would look at my watch as soon as I got up each morning just to see how late I had slept. The only other time I would consult a clock throughout the day would be if I was baking something!

I cannot remember the last time I spent a whole week NOT living by a clock.

We went to bed when we felt like it...usually after sitting on the deck and watching the moonlight on the water. We got up when we wanted...usually closer to noon than not. We went down the beach in the late afternoons or early evenings when the sun wasn't bearing down on us and we could enjoy the water and the breeze.

I can't remember the last time I felt this rested.

I don't think that I could do this all of the time...but it was nice to take a break.

We returned home today. I was ready. I am looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight.

I am thankful for the opportunity to spend time with the family and to unwind.

I will try to post pictures on Monday when I get back into the office!

Happy weekend, ya'll!
