What's On My Nightstand - September

Well, I did it again. I missed yesterday's What's On Your Nightstand? carnival over at 5 Minutes For Books.

I was busy chauffeuring and serving a couple of VIP's instead. We have family in town for the next two days and I want to spend as much time with them as possible.

As for What's On My Nightstand this month, it has been a pretty uneventful month. I haven't removed many books since the last post. (Four to be exact...and one of those I am still reading.) And I have added only two, both of which I picked up just last Friday. I was meeting a friend for dinner and had some time to spare, so I ran into Barnes and Noble to browse. I should have known better as I can NEVER leave that place empty handed.

My 'To Be Read' List:

From April: The DaVinci Code and Snowflower and the Secret Fan.

From May: The Happiness Project and Sullivan's Island.

From August (with June and July included): Major Pettigrew's Last Stand; The Red Queen; The Familiar Stranger; Mennonite In A Little Black Dress; A Homemade Life; and To Kill a Mockingbird.

New to the list:
The Pirate Queen by Patricia Hickman

Comfort Food by Kate Jacobs

(If you would like more information on either new book, just click on the title and you will be taken to the Amazon page for each.)

Click on the link at the top of the page to see what everyone else is reading...and leave me a comment letting me know what you have been reading lately.

I really enjoyed To Kill a Mockingbird. It reminds me of being a little kid, too, and what it was like to grow up.
